SHIELD CLEANING SERVICES

Shield Cleaning Services are pleased to announce that they have been successful in joining the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme - CHAS. This reflects on the Health and Safety compentency of a contractor and represents a further successful accreditation for Shield. The company is already registered with SAFEcontractor and Constructionline as well as ISO 9001.

Shield have also passed their re-assessment for ISO 14001, the environmental accreditation, with a comment of "excellent" from the assessor, and are continuing to promote a high level of sustainability within their cleaning contracts.

Customers can rest assured that Shield's systems have been verified against national standards.

 SHIELD GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES

Shield Grounds Maintenance Service, together with their client at The Body Shop, have selected a design submitted by a Chichester College, Brinsbury Campus, Horticulture student for part of the re-development of the company's Watersmead site. Horticulture students were given a brief to create a space for staff that used coastal and natural planting influences to provide all-year-round interest. Students produced designs which were judged by a team from Shield, The Body Shop, and a College Tutor. Shield will implement the scheme as part of their programme to increase native planting and biodiverstity on site as well as linking into the local community.
