Established in 1997 Shield Cleaning Services was born to fill a gap in the market for a well run cleaning organisation that delivers what it promises at each stage of the contract process. We are a reliable, sustainable business offering quality and value for money. We have grown steadily since inception by keeping in touch with our clients’ up to date needs, backing up our service with recognised accreditations, and introducing service innovations.

1. A Fully Managed Service

We have built up a team of experienced managers with dozens of years experience in the field. Each manager has full responsibility for decision making in their area of work and we have a short chain of command from top to bottom, and adequate cover for emergencies and special requests.

2. Help Desk & Administration

We have a loyal and dedicated back of house team who act as our helpdesk dealing immediately with a range of service enquiries.

3. Continual Improvement

The COVID 19 Pandemic has changed the world in many ways including the way that commercial cleaning is delivered. We have adapted our systems and methodology to encompass the lessons learned from the Pandemic and we strive to offer our Clients new innovations to ensure the best and most up to date cleaning service possible.

4. Accreditation

To further support our claims to Set the Standard we have embarked on a number of recognised accreditations to assist our clients when choosing which company to support them.

Shield are also fully insured for all their operations for Employers Liability up to £25M and Public Liability up to £10M.

		BICSc – The British Institute of Cleaning Science offers support and training schemes for registered companies.
		ISO 9001 – Our quality systems are designed to help us provide a consistent level of service, approved suppliers and a review process leading to best practice.
		ISO 14001 – This environmental standard encourages innovation in energy saving and recycling both in our offices and client sites.
		CHAS – The Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme ensures that Shield comply with National Safety standards.
		Living Wage Foundation – We are a Recognised Service Provider, promoting the ‘real’ Living Wage to our Client’s and potential Client’s.
		Avetta – Cloud based supply chain risk management and commercial marketplace platform.
		Association of Professional Landscapers – Independent accreditation for high industry standards.
